Privacy policy
Tugun Compounding Pharmacy (The Trustee for Tugun Compounding Trust, ABN 29 319 707 236) respects your privacy. As a pharmacy, we handle health information, which is sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share it, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Contact details: name, address, phone, email and date of birth.
- Health information: your prescriptions, medical history, current medicines, allergies, pregnancy status and the answers you give on our order forms.
- Prescriber and clinic details: your prescriber's details, and for topical anaesthetic orders, the clinic and appointment date you nominate.
- Account and order details: for clinic and stockist accounts, business details, order history and invoices.
- Website information: cookies and analytics about how the site is used, through Shopify.
We collect this from you, from your prescriber, from your nominated clinic, and when you use our website.
How we use it
- To check, compound, dispense and supply your medicines safely, including pharmacist checks and counselling.
- To contact you about your order, take payment and arrange delivery.
- To keep the records pharmacies are required to keep by law.
- To manage clinic and stockist accounts.
- To send you news or offers, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
- Your prescriber, and your nominated clinic where you order through it.
- Delivery services, so they can deliver your order.
- Service providers that run our systems: our dispensing software (RxOne), our website platform (Shopify), our online forms provider (Jotform) and our payment providers.
- Government agencies where the law requires it, such as prescription monitoring systems.
We never sell your personal information.
Storage overseas
Some of our service providers store information outside Australia, including in France and New Zealand, for our website and forms. We choose providers that protect information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.
Keeping it safe
Scripts and health details sent through our website go through secure, encrypted forms and are stored privately. Records are kept for as long as the law requires, then securely destroyed.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you by contacting our Privacy Officer at admin@tuguncompounding.com.au or (07) 5598 2411. We'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we'll work to resolve it. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner on 1300 363 992.
